Pat's Posters to teach the skills (cognitive verbs) of writing - Primary

  • This set of 20 posters is the most comprehensive resource developed for the explicit teaching higher order thinking skills, the general capabilities of the National Curriculum, cognitive verbs, or CCEs, to primary school students.

    This resource contains a framework for teaching many of the skills that are specified in the Australian Curriculum. Each poster focuses on a particular skill, featuring questions to guide students, key task words, graphic organisers, and examples of the language students should use to demonstrate the skill.
